This work is a paradoxical case for those who are fond of applying a universal psychological hermeneutic to understand people’s motives. The essays contained herein are the result of a life process linked to the possibility of a science of psychology. They are presented here, despite the disappointing nature of prevailing academic life, dominated by personal vanities and meritocratic pursuits. Thus, and congruently, I can only be skeptical as to the effect these writings may have, but it should never be ruled out that they may be of interest to some pilgrim who travels the same road I have traveled.
